The ten day Powder Highway Tour began in Vancouver, B.C. Where it will end.. we’re not exactly sure. We’re chasing the snow, and so far all we have found is sunshine.
This tour (unlike almost every other tour) isn’t about slaying knee-deep powder or pounding big vertical ascents. It’s about spending time in small towns we’ve never visited, a winter road trip adventure, meeting and skiing with friends from afar, lapping the lifts, and going for a few day hikes.
Days 1 – 4 (Vancouver, Inveremere, Cranbrook, Creston)
4:30am wakeup call means this 10 hour drive is powered by coffee.
Just one of the avalanche tunnels on the Coquihalla Highway.
Hello Top of the World! Hitting Panorama Ski Resort in Invermere with friends. Two full days of no lift lines, plenty of sunshine, and a view that never got boring.
Hitting one of the two pools at Radium Hot Springs. Perfect way to end the day. Well almost, the beer came later at the condo.
Heading south we stopped by Fort Steele Heritage Town in East Kootenay Region.
Self guided tour in the snow.
Frosty lamp in -10°C temperatures.
